Welcome And Why AI Needs Data
SPEAKER_00All right, folks. I am uh gonna make sure we're streaming live for another episode of Lead Lag Live on all the various platforms, X, LinkedIn, and YouTube. This is gonna be a different kind of conversation, much more on the practical side, talking about now. Usually when I do these lead lag live episodes, it's about macro markets, ideas, uh from a high-level perspective. We're gonna actually talk about how to figure out what um uh what to filter for. How do you actually identify uh certain ideas, certain trades uh using TrendSpire? And yes, folks, this conversation is sponsored by TrendSpider. If you're not familiar with TrendSpider, I encourage you to take a look at uh their software. Uh I've actually been a big fan of TrendSpider's founder, Mr. Dan Usman. I've had him on the show over a number of years. Uh they reached out because they're doing some promotions. We're gonna be talking about that, um, but especially talking about some of their uh AI capabilities, which uh, as many of you know, I'm I've gone very deep into the AI side. I am one of perplexity's biggest users. Actually, Mike and I were just talking uh off air about uh a lot of the narratives maybe being long and why it's important to have a trustworthy vendor like Trend Spider to actually help you uh with AI deliverables because it's not as easy as just to prompt folks. It's far more complicated, which is why uh I had a conversation with a client earlier and uh I said to him, going as deep as I have into AI has actually made me more skeptical of AI. Uh yeah. We took into that, so we'll definitely get into that. So with that said, my name is Michael Guy and I'm the publisher of the Lead Lag Report and the Free Markets Report, which I've now relaunched, as well as founder of Lead Lag Media and host of this podcast, uh Lead Lag Live. Joining me with me is Mr. Mike Tony Hoffman of TrendSpire. First time Mike and I are have chatted, we've gone back and forth, but I can tell we're already going to be uh kindred spirits with the conversation. So Mike, yeah, I saw you kind of you know saying agreeing with me. Let's before we get into trends capabilities, markets, ideas, um, let's riff a little bit on um on uh how you guys have used AI, what you've noted and noticed about AI, and uh why it's important to have a vendor like TrendSpider that that's it probably.
SPEAKER_01Well, yeah. Well, for one, thank you so much for having me on the platform or on your podcast. Uh it's a pleasure to be here. You know, I followed oh, I don't know if you just disappeared, but um I'm I'm in the back. Okay, okay. I said making sure. But yeah, no, I've been I you know I've followed you for quite a while. But yeah, AI itself.
Inside TrendSpider Sidekick AI
SPEAKER_01I mean, I joined here at TrendSpider about a year and a half ago, and honestly, like the amount of AI implementation that we've done on this platform has honestly blown my mind from Sidekick AI. If you guys didn't know, Sidekick AI is our built-in uh AI chatbot, which you can use several models for, from CloudSonnet to Opus to Chat GBT and Gemini. And the coolest thing about um this is that for one, it has access to all of the data that we pay for already at TrendSpire. I mean, you can imagine, you know, we have a platform with probably some of the most you know premium data feeds you could possibly get from fundamentals, news, options flow. We have real-time options flow, of course, real-time market data. So, you know, um connecting all of that into an AI chatbot for one is just insane. It's gonna obviously um make your outputs way better as opposed to you just going to Claude and just be like, because you see all these people, you know, like trading with Claude these days, like Claude Portfolio, but um you never know, like the data to have access to is the most important thing by far. And since we have that data already, like it just made complete sense for us to plug it into um you know Claude essentially. So yeah, it's been really insane. Um, not only with sidekick, but with our market scanner and you know, ability to create um strategies like um automated trading bots and stuff like that. Because I'll just real quickly open up our market scanner tool right here as well. Um prior to this, yeah, you can see my screen now right there. Um prior to this, you'd have to kind of skip to this point, click editor, editor, um, add condition groups. You know, we have all this stuff, you know, uh fundamentals, relative performance, news, price, whatever. But nowadays, I mean you can just click this little AI button right here and you can type, you know, find stocks hitting, I don't know, you can say, or find stocks um with a relative performance. Or find stocks that will make me a millionaire. Can we try that? Yeah, yeah, that's a good one too. That's a great one. Yeah, exactly. Uh, but you know, find stocks with a relative performance greater than 90. And instead of having to, you know, find out which stocks are outperforming uh, you know, 90% of the SP 500, you just literally type it into AI and it just outputs a list of stocks for you like that. So I mean, we've implemented across the platform. You can actually, you know, run scans using just prompts, it can set alerts for you, help automate your trading uh with strategy bots scanning the market and just research. I think you know, using Transpiders AI for research is one of the most awesome things um about the platform. So um have you used it at all, Michael?
SPEAKER_00So I've used TransPider on and off. And I I I will tell you so as a I I have very few a few uh vendors I use, right? And yeah, and Transpider has always been one of the more uh powerful ones from a broad data perspective. But uh let's I want to kind of go back to this idea of yeah, you know, you have an investment thesis, you have an idea. How do you figure out how to implement on an idea? Right. So um I know you got a bunch of tools on that. Uh you got the AI implementation. Um talk me through, okay, what's the what's the process for let's say a retail investor? Okay, so they have access to transpiles, they they think that you know market's gonna shoot to the moon. All right. What do what do you what do you what do you do with that?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I mean, there's I mean, there's a lot of different ways to trade, you know. There's the long-term investor, there's you know, if you're a day trader, swing trader, whatever it is. Personally, you know, I kind of like I'm more of like a momentum trader, a trend follower, kind of like um, you know, I like to use stage analysis, all of that good stuff. Uh
Sector Rotation With The Market Map
SPEAKER_01so for me, the first thing I do for one is I have this sector ETF list, right? I want to see where the money is kind of flowing to in the markets. Um, obviously, as we've probably seen, a lot of us have seen, depending on what you're holding your portfolio. Semiconductors have been taking a little bit of a hit lately. I mean, obviously they're still up quite a bit, um, but lately they've been down. Um, so that was the trend until maybe it still is. I don't know. It's it might be the end, it might not be, but it's showing signs of the trend breaking. And so, what's the first thing you do? The first thing I do personally is I open up something like our stock market map right here, and I input our sector ETF list. Let me close out sidekick so we can get this a little bit uh bigger here. Um, so what you can do, you open up the stock market map, you can add a map. Uh, I'm using a bubble chart. You can also do all this other stuff right here. Um, but let me maximize this. And so basically what you're seeing here is uh two bubble charts essentially. Let's focus on the left side. So the y-axis here, uh, it's pretty simple. It's just 30 days, calendar day change percent. So it's how much each sector is up over the last 30 days. And towards the bottom, you have the losers, and towards the top, you have the winners. And then on the left and right, the x-axis, you got the seven days change percent. So essentially everything to the top right um is going to be the leaders over the last seven and the last 30 days. Um, and anything to the bottom left is going to be the losers. And as you can see, I have bug. The bug ETF is the cybersecurity ETF, is currently leading uh everything over the last seven and thirty days. So that's automatically catching my eye. It makes it super easy to just visualize that um at a glance. And you also see software over the last you know seven days is kind of creeping up, IGV. And then of course SMH, which is semiconductors, is lagging a bit. So, what do you do with that? So, once you see, you know, first off, we can start with bug, maybe look at financials and healthcare has been an interesting one as well. So we'll keep those in mind. And what I like to do is just open up, you know, our market scanner now. So I'm gonna go up right up over here and I'm just gonna type again, you know, find the same thing actually, find stocks with a uh relative performance greater than let's just do 80. Um, so we're gonna find out what essentially is going to be driving cybersecurity. And the awesome thing about Trans Fighter Scanner uh is all the universes that we have that you can scan through. You can scan through basically the entire market, you can scan through the Russell, the SP, and the sectors, uh, which is kind of unique because before this, you would have to like, you know, figure out which stocks are in which sector, but we can just search through the exact ETF we're looking at, which is bug. Um, so change it to that from where you're searching in, and then press scan. And here we go. We have the leaders of you know the cybersecurity race already for us right here. You got CrowdStrike, PanW, Palo Palo Alto Networks, Rubrik, you know, all these classic names, Okta. Um, and so from here, I clone this into a new watch list, and I can just name it whatever you want, like um, I don't know, cyber, cyber leaders. Let's just call that. And so once you have that, um, let's go ahead and open it up over here. And then now we know which you know stocks are kind of leading the sector, but now you have a list of stocks. You can go look at the charts, you can look at the fundamentals manually. But you know, at Transpider, of course, we have all this AI integration. So I'm just gonna grab this quick prompt that I had loaded up right now, um, right over here.
SPEAKER_00And can we let's let's talk about the the prompting on on what you have to do. So again, I go back to prompting is only as good as uh the context behind it, right? So you know it's like I've seen this myself. It's like if I did this interesting, if I if I put a prompt and then I I make a prompt around the prompt, like enhancing it in in and uh make this prompt more effective on whatever AI model I'm using, right? Then I come up with like 20-page prompt, right? So when you talk about prompting through TrendSpire, how how detailed should it be?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, like you said, you know, the more that's a very common thing that I've seen people do that I do a lot as well, is giving another AI, maybe another you can use sidekick to build your prompts for Sidekick as well, or you can use just like a free model as well, even if you wanted to. Um, but you know, I think the more detailed the better, but there's a limit to that. Like if you give it, you know, a million things, it's gonna maybe be all over the place. So I think there's a good middle ground in between. Um, and it's really just comes down to testing it. Like before I came on here, I of course tested these prompts and saw what it come out with. Um, but here, let me just show you, I guess, what I have. I said, and uh speaking of context as well, the the awesome thing about this is I just made this watch list with the platform using the market scanner, right? So the platform took a lot of the research out of the AI's control for us uh because the you know the better context you give it, the more um it's going to be able to focus less on certain things and more on other things. Um so you got to kind of know where um to use AI in a sense. So for me, I already found these stocks, you know, outperforming the market, leading cybersecurity right now. And then what I'm gonna have sidekick do, as I told it, okay, already use the scanner. These stocks are already, I already we already know they're leading. You'll have to figure out. Um you could ask, you know, find the leading cybersecurity stocks and they can do all that for you too. Uh, but I took that step out of it just to make the final output a little bit cleaner. And I literally told it, um, analyze all these stocks. Uh, let me just send it in right now because it'll take a second anyway. I said, just do deep research into my watch list, which I just made. It's gonna have me pick the watch list now. Um, so cyber leaders. I'll press proceed. And I said, for context, these guys already have you know relative performance over 80, so they're leading technically. But now I want you to go ahead and rank this list of stocks based on you know potential growth, strongest fundamentals, and to know any strong insider buying or 13F you know filings because it has access to all the SEC filings, 13Fs, all that great stuff. Um, and it's going to basically um, and now it's asking, it's like we have this thing called deep research insidekick. I'm gonna press approve. Um, so instead of you know having it send one prompt in to analyze 11 stocks, it's actually going to uh send a single prompt in. It's actually making a prompt for us, like you said, to your point. It's gonna send in a prompt for each individual stock. Um, and then at the end, it's gonna compile them all into one output. And it should, you know, output a ranked list, like I said, with a score for each one. And I told it, act as an analyst, output a buy, hold, or sell rating for each and a price target.
SPEAKER_00Um, so by the way, so when when this is running, is this like um, you know, obviously some platforms have um token limits, right? Um like if somebody were just prompting nonstop on trends, are they gonna have any kind of limitations?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so we do give so anybody on TrendSpider does get some free messages. You get 25 free messages, I believe, no matter what plan you're on. Um, and then we do sell extra usage uh depending on the plans that you pick. Um, so everybody gets 25 free messages, and then you can check our pricing page for a detailed list of you know how much more extra usage you can pick. Um, and we don't really uh interesting right now, we just added Opus, which I mean, if you didn't know, it's a more expensive model for anyone that doesn't know about the different models. I'm using Sonnet right now, but we don't really charge based on uh at least for now, maybe this will change, but we just implemented you know these frontier models. Uh we charge per message uh and not per like token usage for now. Um so you technically could use Opus for the same quote unquote price as Sonnet in our platform right now.
SPEAKER_00So that's the way the Sonnet is simply it's interesting because I've been playing around with the different models on the adjunct side too. And it's uh you get different, somewhat different. Oh, I just again, folks, this is live. I see some people are saying I have a question. You have do you have a question? We can see it. And you know, uh whether it's on Trend Spider as a platform or uh other ways of implementing ideas. This is much more about uh how to use something practical like TrendSpider to execute on ideas and find ideas, um, which I think is important and something that I don't normally do uh on these types of podcasts. Okay, so so so you got this prompt, you got it built out. Um, I also find that um it's almost like you have to give people um an idea on what to prompt, right? So which I know it sounds odd, but like the reality is people don't know what they don't know, right? So sure uh is there is there I don't know, like a library or an education module or something from Trend Spider or guidance or help on the sports side that can help somebody figure out exactly what to ask? Um so we do have um a lot of built-in prompts.
SPEAKER_01Once this thing it's about to stop, we do have once you open sidekick, we actually do have some built-in prompts uh that are default, which you can just literally go in and click. Um, some basic stuff, um, like um, you know, analyze because they can read your chart. You can just say, like, look at my current chart and plot the key levels, or you can say, give me the bowl and bear case of my current open symbol. Um, so we do have a blog. You can go to trendspider.com slash blog and all of our sidekick releases um that we've done, like the initial sidekick release. Uh we did a full release on like how to use how to scan with sidekick, all those have prompts in the blog post themselves that you can go ahead and try out. Um, and the thing about Trend Spider is um anybody can hit this contact contact us button. We have excellent customer support, probably the best in the industry compared to all of our competitors, because they're always there and willing to help you. And so if you ever, you know, like they're not gonna give you, they're not like financial advisors, of course, or anything, but you gotta have, you know, we're not gonna tell you like this is what you should be trading, but like if you have like an idea of like what you trade, how you trade, then yeah, they'll help you build prompts out to uh optimize your workflow with uh with Sidekick for sure. Um but you know, from dev, they have said it's really good. I mean, I've used it quite a bit, it's really good for doing stuff like analyzing earnings. It's really good um for doing bull and bear cases for stocks is that's more like you know, kind of less subjective. Like it gives you the bull case, it gives you the bear case. Um, it's also really good at uh finding key risks because it has the SEC filings built in. So if you want to see, uh we can even prompt this, like I can just prompt something on the fly. Like, what is like the biggest risk of this stock? That's something that this is really good at as well. But as you can see, um, these are the cyber leaders, and this is how it ranked them. So I had to give it a score, have it give it a uh like basically acting as an analyst here. Let me uh go ahead and maximize this, or actually I'll leave it here. Uh so it ranked Fortinet at number one, and it said, you know, price target of 130, which is actually lower than it's and it said, but smart money is strong, uh, and it gives you, you know, um basically key differentiators. And of course, this is going to be LLMs are you know not a black box, but they're also you give this give one prompt one time, you give the next day, you're probably gonna get something a little bit different. That's just the nature of how LLMs work. Uh so you know, this is never this is always something to take with grains of salt, but it does do a lot of the research for you, like very well. And um, you know, before this, you you probably would have just you know spent hours um researching this stuff yourself, and it actually gives you, like I said, the key risks right here. So Fortinet, the the key risk, Taiwan supply chain concentration, 87% hardware manufactured there. It says, you know, 33 times PE, leave new rooms, no room for misses, JP Morgan, Wells Fargo, and HSBC all have given sell ratings. So it just finds stuff that you maybe wouldn't have found on your own based on, and this is not searching the internet, it's not pulling from random BS Reddit threads or articles. This is all data from you know the platform. This literally does not have access to the internet, which is a feature, not a bug. Um, because you know you never know it's gonna be out there on the internet.
SPEAKER_00So okay, so so this is so let's let's again, since this is lead like live, uh let's do it, let's do an actual uh test, right? Let's do it off the cough, right? Okay, so somebody just posted uh Singapore is an underdog. Okay. All right, so let's let's play this. So somebody has a big picture thesis that Singapore, you know, is is uh where there might be some real investment opportunities. Okay. Help hel help me help us walk through how you would implement that as an idea to figure out what to invest in.
SPEAKER_01Singapore is an underdog. So I will say for one, we our international data is a bit limited, but let's see what happens.
SPEAKER_00Um so Singapore, I mean that is like uh or maybe like you know what what is it about Singapore that might uh benefit US stocks and what would those US stocks be. I mean, there's always like tangential you know, correlated options, right?
SPEAKER_01Let's see, yes, off the cuff.
Testing A Singapore Investment Thesis
SPEAKER_01I'm gonna say take a look at any news, because we have really good news related to Singapore um and how that news would affect uh the US stock market. Find any, you know, themes that could emerge. And um, you know, I'm I'm making this up literally on the cuff right now. Let's see. Any themes that can emerge um based on this news, and then I was just saying I'll put a list of stocks that could potentially benefit. I'm not even sure if he's saying, you know, Singapore, like Singapore stocks are are gonna pop off or whatever it is, but you potentially benefit uh from um the Singapore market um booming. I don't know, let's just say that. Let's see what happens. This is a bear view of real eye. Yeah, yeah, yeah, absolutely, absolutely. So let's see what happens. Uh again, international data. Uh we don't have we are mostly focused on the US data, but you know, it should be able to see some stuff.
SPEAKER_00The R ETF is like a Singapore ETF, I'm sure. That's yeah, obvious, right? I mean, ADR ADRs. I mean, sure, I mean, assume because it's uh you probably have access to the ADR side on the data end of things.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah, yeah. We do. Um, we have you know the charts data. If we don't have the greatest fundamental data for all the ADRs, um, but let's see. Let's uh oh wow, that was quick. Um, let's see, let's see, it's C even even even he's surprised at Trent's back at Trent. Yeah. Let's see. Uh so Singapore is a global financial hub in gold clearing. JPM and DB are involved in Singapore launching a new gold clearing infrastructure per the June 15th report. Um, so that's interesting. So JPM, it's uh looking there. Autonomous vehicles, ride partnered with I'm sure the UIS E to pilot self-driving cars in Singapore, signaling, signaling the city state is aggressively testing the AV infrastructure. So that's one to, I guess, keep an eye on ride. I haven't heard that one in a while. R-I-D-E. Wow, okay, nice. Uh, here's one that was related to what we were just talking about: cybersecurity and healthcare IT. MNDR subsidiary is delivering managed cybersecurity services to healthcare providers in Singapore. Uh, a niche but growing space. Again, this is you know, it looks like a very interesting name here, but you know, if you're specifically focused on Singapore, uh, I guess you could tell like a that looks like a crypto coin. It looked like the Melania coin. I'm not gonna lie. No, seriously. Yeah, if you zoom out to the monthly, I don't know about that. I don't know.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00But the point like you've got it, it's interesting though, because like I mean, it's a this is this is like a really interesting niche use case, right? It's like somebody has something very specific and it's actually coming back and it's showing charts. Yeah, no, absolutely.
SPEAKER_01Absolutely. I think the the coolest one, let's just see what this is too. So golden commodities clearing, um, cloud and data sovereignty, cybersecurity, autonomous vehicles is a good call out, regulated crypto and digital assets, wealth management. So, yeah, I mean it it noted JPM and kind of like the uh the wealth hub there in uh in Asia. US banks was strong, Asia Devs benefit from that. So um it's a good call out, I guess. Good call out. And if you guys have any follow-up questions uh or any anything else you guys want us to test live, uh feel free to let me know. We can easily do that. I have no worries doing that at all.
SPEAKER_00I I assume maybe I'm wrong, uh, but I assume there's a way to also have somebody upload their their holdings and do some analysis on an A on that. We should start with that because I think it's where it's be interesting. All right, it's like yeah, all right. So yeah, it's a different uh set of eyes, so to speak.
SPEAKER_01Let me uh yeah, so I actually have my purse. I have a couple Transfider accounts. This is the team account on my purse. Yeah, not a lot. Hopefully it doesn't, it doesn't expose me. No, I'm just kidding.
SPEAKER_00Oh, you don't want to be like that. I don't know if you saw that that YouTube video of that guy who put uh his crypto keys on during a live stream. Uh and and and he like in a second, like somebody saw it and grabbed it. And it was like worth, I don't know, 10-20 million. And you saw his reaction afterwards. It's like, Jesus Christ.
SPEAKER_01I mean, store available it is. Yeah, no, that would be absolutely brutal. So that's hoping that doesn't happen here. But uh, can you see my other screen? I just draw yeah, what would you like to yeah, yeah, yeah. Perfect. So this is my personal account. Uh there's some of my positions right there in one of my accounts. Um, but I'm gonna say, look at my current. So yeah, I have so uh signal stack is the way that we connect uh your portfolio holdings to Trend Spider. So you can actually, I don't even open my broker, I use Schwab. Um, I rarely open you know my thinkorswim anymore because um I can just simply use the trading panel here to buy and sell. And then um we can also do what I actually do personally do. You can see I have this alerts open over here. All these alerts are basically uh my trailing stop losses. So the way I trade personally is I just kind of you know buy into some stocks and I have a custom indicator. I just use an EMA to uh uh
Portfolio Upload And Rate Hike Stress Test
SPEAKER_01to alert me when this the stock is potentially breaking trend. Like for example, like I was in like AMAT uh up until last week and it broke under this 21-day EMA and this you know, my custom indicator is trail and stop. Um, and so here I had an alert uh on this uh 21 EMA or my 20% trail and stop. Uh all I did all you could do is right-click, create an alert. Uh if it breaks through or touches you know that level, um, for one, it can send you a text. It does send me a text, scares the hell out of me every time. It does a little bit of beeping. And then I put in a note here for signal stack that basically just says close my position. Um, it's actual code. Doesn't it doesn't matter, it depends on your broker. So, but you basically just type sell your sell uh my position in this symbol is basically how it works. And uh once it hits that condition, which you can set it to be whatever, just draw a line on the chart and just set that. Um, it'll literally sell out of your broker for you.
SPEAKER_00So it's actually to actually use autonomously trading in SS.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah, yeah. So it can literally trade in your broker for you based on alerts, or you can literally just you know buy and sell in here. Um so you know, these are my holdings and my trend falling portfolio for now. And I'm just gonna send in this prompt just saying so it has access to it. Um, look at my portfolio holdings, and based on the recent rate hike probabilities, I actually connected it to the uh the potential rate hikes this year that are likely uh that are likely to remain at the same level or get hiked this year. So do a deep dive into my holdings, suggest what positions are at risk from potential rate hikes, and suggest three stocks to remove that are at the most risk and three stocks to replace them with, um, and run a scan to find the best plays that could benefit from rate hikes. So it's actually running the scan for me. As you can see, it's basically an AI agent. It's prompted the uh the market scanner over there. Um, what it's prompting, let's see. It's doing a lot of fundamental stuff. So it had debt ratio less than 0.15, PE less than 20, free cash flow is positive, all this, you know, just financial stuff. Um, and it gives a little explanation. It's pretty cool. Financial sector, stocks, banks, insurers, uh brokers benefiting from net interest income expansion. It's just interesting. And so it's it's searched through the SP 500, ran a scan for me, and uh it's going to look at my portfolio, look at the scan results, and it's gonna tell me what to do essentially. Um, not what to do, but like, you know, it's gonna give me three stocks at risk of you know rate hikes, and it's gonna pick three stocks, I guess, from this scan. Uh that might be good. Let's see what it pulled up with. Um, this is all SP 500 stocks. See some interesting names in here. TER, which is interesting. ACN, anything regeneron. I know I was trading this one at one point. It's a healthcare name. Fix I was recently in until like today. Lululemon. So let's see what it says. Let me maximize this or yes, maximize this. So here is um my most at-risk stocks from my actual portfolio. And again, I didn't give it a watch list. I literally it just has access to my portfolio. I just said look at my portfolio, and that's it. Um, so LSCC, extreme risk, rubric, a XGN, Reddit, and LQDA um are the highest at-risk stocks here. And three stocks to replace them with HIG, let's see, Hartford Financial, it's an insurance company, earns more on its float and high-rate ENV, net interest income expands massively. PE ratio, I mean, everything in here should have a PE. I think it had the scan as less than 20, which is cool. Uh, so there's one, and then ACGL and BlackRock. Uh, BlackRock asset manager uh says AUM shifts to higher yielding fixed income products when rates rise. Uh, and I'm sure you can give some pretty good context here, more so than I can, uh, because I know you're more of the macro kind of rate expert. So, what do you think of what this is?
SPEAKER_00I mean, I mean, that's that's like classic market into market uh macro to sector analysis right there at your fingertips, which I think is cool, especially for people that you know are newer um and maybe get intimidated by markets. It's like that's accurate. I I know that have having studied markets for for decades. Yeah. Um okay, so I think that that's an interesting uh feature for sure. Um I didn't realize that you're actually integrated directly with the brokers so that you can auto-trade from that standpoint. Um and I think it's also to your point, yeah, texting can be uh both disturbing but also useful, right? If it's like the markets are crashing, you don't want to get that kind of text. Um from Spider Bridge Rural. But but but but we but we should touch on that because I think um the idea that that maybe what you've built can help from a risk mitigation perspective because nobody cares about risk until it's too late, right? Um let's talk about how how some of these tools can maybe help protect gains.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, no, absolutely. So for one, I mean this was an interesting example. Like if you give it some context, like rates are gonna rise. Um so based on this, tell me when I'm at risk, and it did that. And there's other ways to do it. Like I said, um, you can automate your exits. Um, I'm trying to think of, yeah, I mean, I think, I mean, the way I do it personally, um, is I automate my exits. So I mean, it completely depends how every person trades out there. Um, but for example, like I always like to pull up something like um, let me think. Um what was it? What's a good like dot-com stock? Was it Cisco that
Automating Exits With Trend Rules
SPEAKER_01we can look at? Here you go. Perfect. Cisco. So from from a chart standpoint, you know, Cisco was one of the like, I guess you can compare, you know, the current AI boom or bubble, whatever you want to call it, to the dot-com boom as well. Um, you know, markets tend to repeat what happens in the past, and um Cisco is a perfect example. I mean, if you look at most AI stocks, like at Micron, Sandis, whatever it may be, most of them look like this. And this is basically how trend falling works. I mean, you ride the trend up, you hop in a trend that looks good, and this is the monthly chart. So as you can see, I have uh, you know, just the nine and 21 day EMAs or nine and 21 month EMAs on the monthly here, which is common, you know, when it's trading above a rising nine and 21 month or week or day um EMA, you know, the stock is an uptrend. If you go look at Micron Sandis, they all look like this um up until you know maybe like this point right now. So the question is like when do you get out at the end of the day? Uh as a trend follower, you basically want to ride the trend as long as you can until the trend breaks. And um the key thing is getting out when the trend breaks. And um uh a good way to do that is to literally just you know uh set a stop loss depending on where the trend breaks. So we have a couple different tools to do this. Uh, for those out there that use something like Weinstein stage analysis, which is a classic way, it uses the um the 30-week SMA. Let me see if I can close this cloud one out. Let me put on um on the monthly. Let me see if I can go back to the it's so far back by here. You can see it actually paints the candles based on which stage you're in. So this should be, let me just scroll back here a little bit, all the way back to what 2000. Um, so I mean, just a basic overview of stage analysis is you know, stage one is kind of like the the start of it. Uh, and stage two is like the uptrend where it starts trending above this 30-week SMA. Uh, and that's when the candles are painted green right here. And then so stage two is where you want to be in the trend, riding up, everything's great, you know, it's where the AI is right now, essentially, or maybe coming to an end to. And then stage three is when it starts to come back to that line and start consolidating, people start taking profits, it starts chopping around. And then once it breaks under that 30-week SMA and starts trading under a lower, you know, a down sloping EMA is when um, you know, stage four is happening, which is a stage four downtrend, which is essentially when you do not want to be in. And so uh if you wanted to kind of automate this, you could just you know simply set an alert on a line like the 30-week SMA, and um, it can alert you if it breaks through it or touches it. Um, and it can send you a text being like, yo, like Micron just broke through this this key trend filter. Um, so um you can either have it send a text to you or quite literally exit your position depending on how much you know kind of automation you want to have um in your platform. And you know, there's a million different ways to do this. You can use the Weinstein stage analysis indicator, you can use different momentum filters, you can use MACD crosses. I mean, we have all this stuff available, so it's it's really up to you know however people want to do it. Like we even have like um this one here, the Minervini Trend Template. Uh, if I can go ahead and hide Weinstein now. Um, the Minervini trend template is kind of similar, you know, it looks for stocks trading of above a relative performance above 80. Um, SMAs trade, you know, SMA 50 over the SMA 150, prices above them. And it's kind of the same thing. At the end of the day, all these momentum, you know, EMAs, SMAs kind of are kind of line up. And so if you just pick one that you like, set an alert at it, um, and at least have it send you a text being like, yo, like this is happening right now. You should definitely know about this and consider getting out or reducing your size, taking some profit, whatever it may be, um, because you know the trend might be breaking. So I guess that's probably a great way, in my opinion, at least the way I trade um to use Transpider to go ahead and manage your risk.
SPEAKER_00Um and and and talk talk me through sort of um look, I mean, let's face it, it's it's a crowded field, right? There's a lot of competitors in in the chart research space. Yeah. Yeah. What would you say sort of makes Transpider uh unique compared to other players?
SPEAKER_01Definitely the AI. Um, I don't think anybody has anything nearly. I mean, other platforms have you know their AIs now, they have, you know, depending on what data it really just depends on the data. I think the combination of all the data that we have, uh, which we continue adding more data to, like um, this is actually a very new feature that we haven't fully released. It just got added. Um, but we're adding, we're continually adding new data and connecting it to our AIs. And so, for example, we have all this like deep um uh revenue data and just like fundamental data for specific companies that's
What Makes TrendSpider Different
SPEAKER_01unique to each company. So, for example, I open up Apple, you can see the iPhone revenue, you can see Mac revenue, iPad revenue, all this stuff. And now Sidekick can actually literally see all this even more detailed uh data that it didn't have before. And you mean you combine this with real-time options data, unusual options flow, um uh just regular fundamental data, the fact that it can read your chart, you give it all this context. I think that's in my opinion, probably the best advantage that Trend Spider has over all the competitors. Um you combine that also with our amazing customer support um is a good one too. But I'll just kind of show you too, under our what's happening now tab because we have a lot of. Oh, wait, but like is how much of the customer support is AI? Oh, none. None. Okay.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that's a that I'd argue that's a selling point.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, none of our customer support is AI. These guys will literally hop on a uh on a call with any any customer gets at least one 15-minute call, depending on your plan. Um, with the real person, yeah. So the real person, they're not AI at all. We have a full customer support team. Um, and they will literally hop on a call with you to help you set up the platform. So that is definitely one of the top things. And we have an affiliate named Gary who loves to, you know, our top plan, you get 52 calls a year, which is literally like what, one a week. I mean, you can literally hop on a call with one of our guys one time a week if you pay for our top of the line plan. And um, you know, for the price, like just in that alone is kind of insane because I mean, again, these guys aren't financial advisors, not going to tell you like this how you should trade, but like, you know, they're all traders. They're all everyone on the Transpire team uh is traders. Like this platform is literally built by traders, for traders, investors, whatever. So I think that's honestly like the people here is is one of the best things about the platform. So and then yeah, I'll show you you know some of the data that we have here. Pelosi tracker RIP to that, I guess, here pretty soon. But you know, just all the earlier question about how do you how do I become a millionaire? That's I guess that's the yeah, we could ask sidekick that maybe we'll get a good response. I mean, honestly, Fracker to become a millionaire. Yeah, I mean, uh in the background, I'm just gonna put that in. So I'm gonna say, so I want to become, I was gonna say rich in the stock market based on all of your training data. What is the best strategy to implement? Do you think? I'm actually curious what it's gonna say. Do you think long-term holding, swing trading, day trading, futures, options, ETC? What is the best method and why and how do I do it? Let's just see what that says. Let's minimize that while we take a look at some other stuff. You know, we got insider trading data, we got Congress trading data, um, 13F trades is probably one of the coolest ones. Recent earnings, we have, of course, all earnings data, CNBC recommendations, uh, just random filters, news featuring FDA. So if you're like a day like biotech day trader, that's cool. Um, analyst estimates, of course, CFO buying their own stock, CEO buying their own stock. I mean, really anything you can possibly ask for. We we honestly kind of have in here. Like, and again, we just are adding this right now. We continue to add more stuff, and you can actually make charts out of this. Like, like you can combine like uh Apple's iPhone, Mac, and iPad revenue here on a chart by quarter. Uh, super excited about this. We're actually working on, you know, putting a release together for this products revenue, and this is unique for every single different company. Like, I think like Goldman Sachs had some pretty cool ones too. Uh, if we go through here, you know, non-interest revenue, asset and wealth, management, non-interest revenue. You can compare all the stuff and give it to Sidekick to build charts for you. Sidekick can actually build charts for you too. And so um the fact that you know, uh like you could build this stuff on your own. Like, you know, you you talk about perplexity a lot. Like, if you have all the data sources, you pay for some data sources. I don't know if perplexity what they have. Like, um uh you could probably do it on your own, but the fact that you know it's built into the platform already. Um you know, we pay a solid chunk and change for all this data so that people don't have to, you know.
SPEAKER_00Which which actually is so I'm glad you mentioned so uh this is my own naivety again. Um do you have an API for people to plug into? Um for to like pull our data from. Yeah, or like some somehow to use your their their AI models, right? Separate from somehow with Trend Spider. I again I'm just thinking along.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, no, we don't really have like an MCP server, anything like that. But what you can do is you can pull in any AP, not any, but uh pretty much any API that's existing out there that maybe if we don't have data, for example, and there's this like data you want, you can bring in uh external APIs to Trend Spider, including your own. You can even pull in your own Google Sheets, anything like that on your own into the platform. But no, we don't um I don't at least to my knowledge, um, we don't allow people to use our data. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah, I was just curious. Okay, and now you guys you guys do have a special. Uh we should touch on on.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, definitely. Definitely. I can actually kind of show it real quick. Uh if you go to trendspider.com, um, Cole, if you're out there, you could probably drop a link. But uh, we have a July 4th sale that is running right now. It currently ends in 10 hours. Let me click see offer details right here. Uh, here's our pricing page. And again, the pricing, I mean, $56 a month if you pay annually. 30. I mean, guys, like what are you paying? Like $100, $200 a month for most AI tools these days, at least ones that are like, you know, worth it. Um, and $56 for all the financial data combined with Claude. You can you have to you can actually use three different AI models. You can use GPT, Claude, uh, and what Gemini uh
Pricing Deal And Closing Advice
SPEAKER_01for this price. Again, every plan comes with 25 sidekick messages, which you can make work pretty well. Of course, um the only data other than that we charge for is options data and futures data. All stock data is included. You know, other competitors um don't have to mention them. They charge you extra for data. We don't do that other than for like data that kind of have to, like options and futures and stuff like that. So that's kind of included. Uh, two trainings a year. Again, hop on with a real customer support agent, not agent, a real person. Um, they can help you set up the platform. Um, and you can really, you know, just go to the website and contact customer support anytime. Uh, they're pretty much available, I wouldn't say 24-7, but almost 24 hours a day, to be honest with you, um, to answer your questions, alerts, trading bots, um, charting, scanning, all that stuff. Pretty damn good price, honestly, if you ask me. Uh, you know, premiums, the most popular plants, 56. Of course, you can go up to enhanced uh and advanced, which you know gets up there to more of like the 75, 132. And again, this is normally uh $137 uh without a sale. So, you know, it's uh definitely worth checking out uh if you guys are interested. Uh it's one of the better deals that we've ran. Um, so definitely take advantage while it's there.
SPEAKER_00Uh a very good conversation, uh, and one that I think is uh is good because again, it's like oftentimes I do these lead live conversations, they're macro big picture people are like, all right, how do I execute on that? Right. And here's here's an actual way of using you know, legit company with uh a lot of creative ways of finding investment ideas and opportunities. Uh any closing thoughts here, Mike, uh, for the audience?
SPEAKER_01Um other than that, I guess I'll just start or I'll end with what the the message I sidekick earlier is how to become rich in the stock stock market. It says if you're starting out, yeah, starting out. This is it's the most important thing of the entire NASCAR. But it says start with long-term holds, honestly, kind of nice, you know, just long-term hold. Learn swing trading on the side, identify setups, you know, learn stage analysis, that stuff we were talking about earlier. Manage your risk with stop losses. Uh, do not touch options or future until you deeply understand them. Um, maybe more importantly, what you should not do, yellow zero DT options, average down on a losing position because they'll come back. It's kind of debatable if you're a long-term investor. Use leverage or trade based on vibes. Um, so I mean, yeah, that's kind of cool. Um, but otherwise, closing thoughts is you know, check out Trend Spider, I guess. Um, come check me out on live because I do these lives all the time too. If you guys want to learn more about the platform, uh follow TrendSpire on X on YouTube. You can see me live with a bunch of other people doing you know almost the same exact thing that we did today. Um, so you can check me out there if you guys want to learn more, have any more questions.
SPEAKER_00So uh appreciate everybody that uh watched this uh live and uh hopefully uh you'll learn more and check out TrendSpire and you know a little bit of urgency given that 10 hour uh window for their uh they're uh running this guy here. Uh appreciate you, Mike, and thank you everybody for watching. I'll see you all in the next Lead Live Live episode. This one sponsored by Transmitter. Thanks, Mike. Thank you so much. See ya.
SPEAKER_01All right, cheers, everybody.
